Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sadhana AI ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our Service.
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Sadhana AI is the controller of the personal data processed through the Service.
1. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email, login credentials, profile settings, language preference.
- Content you create: saved classes, prompts, chats with the AI mentor, uploaded materials.
- Usage and telemetry: pages viewed, features used, credits consumed, timestamps.
- Device and technical data: browser type, operating system, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP.
- Support communications: messages you send us and our responses.
- Billing metadata: subscription status, plan, renewal dates. Card details are handled directly by Paddle — we do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
2. Why we use your data and legal bases
- Provide the Service (contract): create accounts, run the AI features, save classes, keep the app working.
- Billing and subscription management (contract / legal obligation): via Paddle as Merchant of Record.
- Security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests): protect accounts and the platform.
- Product improvement and analytics (legitimate interests): understand how features are used and improve them.
- Customer support (contract / legitimate interests): respond to your questions.
- Marketing communications (consent, where required): only if you opt in.
- Legal compliance (legal obligation): comply with applicable law.
3. Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with the categories of recipients below:
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record, for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and customer service for billing matters.
- Infrastructure and service providers (subprocessors) — hosting, database, authentication, AI model providers, email delivery, analytics tooling, and error monitoring. They process personal data on our instructions under appropriate contractual protections.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and similar advisers, where necessary.
- Authorities — where we are required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights and users.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Some of our providers may be located outside your country, including outside the UK/EEA. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, UK International Data Transfer Agreements, or an applicable adequacy decision.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described here — typically while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized. You may request deletion of your account at any time.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We aim to respond to verified requests within one month, as required by applicable law. To exercise your privacy rights, please contact us at: privacy@sadhanaai.app.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting — to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies and similar technologies required to run the Service (for example, to keep you signed in) and analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
